Sculptural Felt Vessels
My sculptural felt vessels begin with feltmaking, but evolve through a combination of techniques and materials. Silk, embroidery, hand stitching, beads and other embellishments become integral to each piece, building layers of colour, texture and dimension.
Each vessel develops intuitively, with its final form emerging through the creative process rather than following a predetermined design.

Oceanic
Oceanic is a sculptural felt vessel inspired by the colours, textures and organic forms of the underwater world.
Rich layers of orange, gold, turquoise and blue evoke marine sponges, coral formations and flowing underwater elements. Feltmaking, silk fibres, hand stitching, embroidery, beads and embellishments combine to create a richly textured, three-dimensional surface.
The interior is lined with silk and further embellished, extending the exploration of colour and texture beyond the outer surface of the vessel.
Created intuitively, Oceanic evolved through the layering and manipulation of fibres, fabrics and threads, allowing the materials themselves to influence its final form.
Below are additional views and close-up details revealing the vessel's layered textures, stitching and embellishments.

Blue Bowl
Blue Bowl is a sculptural felt vessel exploring the relationship between colour, texture and form.
Layers of turquoise, blue, purple and green fibres blend together to create a richly textured surface, enhanced by hand stitching, embroidery, beads and decorative embellishments. Gold threads and accents introduce warmth and contrast, catching the light across the bowl's curved surface.
The interior is lined with silk and further embellished, making the inside of the bowl as much a part of the artwork as its exterior.
Created intuitively, Blue Bowl brings together feltmaking and textile embellishment, allowing colour, texture and form to develop organically throughout the creative process.
